Hallo Forumsteilnehmer,
wir - Doro und Georg - sind neu registriert, lesen aber schon eine geraume Zeit mit und sind ehrlich gesagt erschlagen, von den ganzen Informationen. Wir sind vom 25. 4 bis 11.5 auf Hawaii und besuchen Oahu, Kauai und Big Island. Vorher 3 Tage SFO und anschließend 3 Tage Las Vegas. Jetzt planen wir unsere Aktivitäten. Unbedingt wollen wir auf Kauai und BI einen Heliflug buchen. Die Frage wurde bestimmt schon diskutiert hier im Forum, aber leider habe ich bisher keine Suchfunktion gefunden. (Gibts die?) Wir würden uns also über Tips bezüglich der Heli Flüge, (welche Fa, zu welcher Tageszeit, welches Modell und welcher Sitzplatz) freuen. Hallo Ihr zwei, willkommen im Forum!
Für Kauai wurde dieses Thema ja schon öfters diskutiert: guckst Du mal hier: http://www.ingrids-reisewelt.de/reiseforum.php?board=28;action=display;threadid=14521 Sitzplätze könnt Ihr Euch nicht aussuchen, die werden nach Gewicht verteilt. In diesen Helis mit open doors sitzen eh nur vier Passagiere, also hat jeder einen Fensterplatz. Ich war damals die leichteste, somit saß ich vorne in der Mitte neben Pilot und meinem Mann. Für Big Island ist es wohl nur dann interessant, wenn die Lava fließt, auch hierfür gibt es unzählige links hier (einfach mal auch die älteren Seiten lesen ). Außerdem empfehle ich die Reiseführer "Bis Island revealed" und "Kauai revealed". Sind zwar in Englisch, aber das darf kein Problem sein. Neben wertvollen tipps bezüglich Helikoptern findet Ihr auch nützliche tips rund ums Wandern und Essen. War für uns eine sehr wichtige Lektüre, die uns überallhin begleitet hat. | ||||

Für den Heliflug auf Kauai kann ich http://helicopter-tours-kauai.com/ wärmstens empfehlen. Start bei Lihue und garantiert ohne "Zuladung" von Fremdlingen, man ist also mit dem Piloten allein und kann sich die Plätze (es gibt ja nur 3 außer dem Pilotensitz) aussuchen, Wünsche äußern etc. Das Ganze für einen relativ günstigen Preis.
Ich häng hier mal Auszüge der confirmation-mail dran, vielleicht interessiert sich noch jemand für Details (z.B. wo das ist und wie es bei Storno läuft): We look forward to flying with you on xxx @ 9:00am. Hallo Doro und Georg,
wir sind auf Kauai mit Inter-Island Helicopters ab Port Allen auch ohne Türen geflogen. Das ist allerdings schon ein paar Jahre her. Für aktuelle Infos schau mal hier: https://www.interislandhelicopters.com/ Am besten vormittags fliegen, denn ab mittags steigt das Risiko, dass Wolken aufziehen. Bei den ganz frühen Touren hast du allerdings noch viel Gegenlicht (falls euch das fürs Fotografieren wichtig ist). Viele Grüße Katja | ||||
